Prepping for CRISIS 2026

Yesterday, Wim and I ran a little test of the game we plan to run at CRISIS next week.

The game will be a WW1 skirmish, set in 1914. The play area we used was about 1/3 of what we plan to use on the day itself, but it was sufficient to alter some of the details in our rules.

  1. Running a test game before CRISIS sounds like the perfect preparation, especially when you will only use about a third of the final play area next week. A 1914 WW1 skirmish should give players plenty of tension without needing a huge table. For a quick, lighthearted break between test games and convention prep, I also enjoy a stress-relief game at https://kickthebuddyapk.app/ . It is a fun contrast to careful historical play, and I hope your full-size CRISIS game runs smoothly and draws a good crowd.
